About
I’m Ev. I make JamChip under GlitterSnack, and I use it to make small games.
What it is
Section titled “What it is”Make all of a retro game’s art and sound inside the engine, with live feedback and no export loop. That’s the whole pitch, and three things stand behind it:
- You don’t leave the editor. Draw a sprite and the game shows it. Change the song and the node plays the new one.
- It’s all in one place. Pixel art, sound effects, music, tiles now. Fonts and more as they come. Godot is the first engine; a companion app comes beside it.
- Nothing extra ships with your game. Everything exports to PNG,
SpriteFrames,TileSetand WAV. Free, MIT, no account, phones nowhere.
It’s early. The first game made with it said “promising but not ready”, and the changelog is what that turned into.
The licence
Section titled “The licence”MIT. The LICENSE file is at the root of the repository and ships inside the zip beside plugin.cfg. Copyright Glitter Snack LLC.
This site
Section titled “This site”It’s built from the plugin’s source on every merge, so the reference, the guide and the API pages can’t drift from the zip. It sets no cookie, runs no tracker and calls no third party; the build checks that nothing in it loads from a host that isn’t its own. That’s the whole privacy page.
